Unfortunately in Malta, Arts are viewed as a hobby and not as a profession. Which is a pity since Malta hosts a wide range of very talented individuals who unfortunately have been repressed by the lack of appreciation towards art. There is definitely a huge need of awareness in this sector.
Yes, arts and culture. Art is not embedded as much in our social life. I would suggest an annual bonus or subsidy of say Eur 300 that would entitle families to spend specifically on art related activities. Exhibitions, seminars, drama, non-commercial movies and anything that would enhance people's exposure to art in general.
