Subsidise the Church in Malta to renovate its buildings that are not in use and create a partnership to temporarily provide decent accommodation for homeless people. This would be run by church and lay missionaries. Pensioners could be enrolled without the need for travel to do missionary work. Charity begins at home!!
This proposal would save these buildings, provide respite to homeless people, and mobilise the thousands of healthy pensioners to lead a more fulfilled life by providing skills services that would otherwise go to waste.
