Dr Bell’s Family Centre is seeking funding towards a holiday activity programme, to run at easter, summer and the October break in 2019, for families in Leith with young children who are facing disadvantage and challenging circumstances. We will deliver a wide range of centre based activities, family cooking classes, outings, community lunches and a breakfast club. A grant would be used to buy resources for activities, pay for visiting specialists to come and deliver an activity, and contribute towards entrance fees and travel costs to take families on local outings.
The programme will bring together families from the BME community, those facing financial hardship and food poverty, families experiencing isolation, lone parent families, families with a child with additional support needs, parents experiencing stress, mental and/or physical health issues.
