As well as the annual Festival events, we are committed to decreasing social isolation and promoting sustainable inclusion of all citizens of Leith. We have a newly formed group of volunteers including individuals who have a learning disability, young unemployed and visual impairment. We will support them to facilitate 5 workshops locally in Leith and to run a celebratory event in June for the wider community. Led by experienced community workers/ artists, participants will be given the chance to take part in exciting art and music workshops to make a community art/music piece.All participants will meet new people, try new things and have the chance to create a community art piece. Volunteers and workshop participants will learn new skills and build confidence to use in daily life.
