Self-reflexive (heutagogic / androgogic) approach is an alternative to pedagogy. It puts learner in control of her own agenda...it also creates a joined-up system with more dimensions. As traditional pedagogy is subjective/detached, it puts 'fairness' before learning and gives preference to the teacher's agenda rather than the learner's (ironically, it permits plagiarism).
Nobody in academia seems bothered that the current framework of learning/assessment is a triumph of form over content...so several thousand years of pedagogy is sustained. My learning framework is, therefore, unlikely to be recognised (or criticised). It is likely to remain invisible because academics are unwilling to challenge protocols.
