Like most areas in England, Eastbourne has much less tree cover than the European average. Trees absorb large amounts of CO2, so they are a major drawdown solution for reversing climate change. So how do we significantly increase the number of trees in Eastbourne?
Trees are very effective in drawing down & storing carbon and help keep urban areas cool.
They are aesthetically pleasing too. Moe needed in town centre
I buy trees via https://treesforlife.org.uk/ to capture the carbon produced by the websites I make. I use calculate the carbon usage using this: https://www.websitecarbon.com. I would love for Eastbourne to have a similar service to trees for life and I am sure a number of business could offer a tree planting benefit in a similar way that I do. I am happy to put the website together once a tree planting scheme is in place.
