Debate the pros and cons of full market liberalization of fuel prices
In the end, people need to pay the real cost of energy, especially as this also provides a spur to the pursuit of alternative green energy sources. While fuel remains cheaper, the incentives for finding alternatives are weaker.
Full liberalisation would lead to such hardships for ordinary people - as the cost of living starts to respond to higher fuel costs - that it could well trigger another sustained protest and possibly the collapse of transitional structures.
