The uncertainty of the coronavirus pandemic has left many feeling anxious and insecure. Universities should continue to offer mental health resources online to help their students through this troublesome time.
Much of what makes university and school environments unique is social interaction. Now that citizens from around the world are hunkering down in social isolation, the endless barrage of news and lack of social connection can make many mental health illnesses worse, particularly anxiety and depression. Universities should continue to support their students with virtual mental health counselling to help their students through the crisis.
