The lockdown has reduced our ability to socialise. Returning to what we're used to make take some time. In the interim we could make use of Eastbournes open spaces such as parks and the seafront in order to support restaurants, theatre and cinema. Social distancing would have to be observed but it would help support local businesses and peoples well being
Could Terminus road be closed at the Grand Parade end. It could be used for open air seating. Some with marquee covers, and outdoor heaters. To help the restaurants on that part of the road expand their seating area outside.
also we have some large indoor spaces where this might be possible: Welcome Building, Congress Theatre, etc etc - this would help overcome the weather factor especially in autumn/winter
Street theatre entertainment led by local drama groups in suitable outdoor areas of the town.
