We need a network of cycle paths to join up all the different areas of Eastbourne. Some roads should be made one way or closed to vehicles entirely in order to create this network. The town centre and parts of the seafront need to be traffic free. The bus system needs to go electric. In order to have a traffic free town centre, there should be an electric bus loop that also includes the seafront. People should park on the outskirts if they are in cars and jump on the loop bus.
Safe cycle paths and electric buses will contribute enormously to reduce local air pollution and reduce carbon emissions at the same time, cretaing a healthier and cleaner environment for all.
Air pollution is a major hazard for all ages in Eastbourne. We have to create a transport system that works for everyone and does not generate more emissions. https://www.who.int/ceh/risks/cehair/en/
