Although Thirsk has had a new rapid charge point fitted at Millgate car park this could go a lot further. Introducing a larger number of chargers could enhance Thirsks place as a destination or stop off point for visitors.
The more EV charging points that are installed in rural areas the more likely people will consider electric as a real option for their next car

Agree. We need to stop building new fossil fuel infrastructure right now. That means rolling out EV charging on a big scale and halting all plans for new petrol/diesel fuel stations.
Ancillary services that the town currently offers could be expanded and new services pop up with the added benefit of inceasing jobs.
