We need to select a social networking platform to build off of. Wordpress has a plugin called BuddyPress that is a good PHP-based platform we could start with. We have a demo site setup at: http://wp.newearthnation.org/
It would share the same user (member) data across the other websites done in WP that we're probably setting up for the Institute
