Will give DSI professionals more autonomy on implementing projects away from the influence of venture capitalists. Using a different capital/endowment structure that allows for DSIs to be funded by public good/social impact indicators e.g. author based rewards, number of downloads, effective use ect.
Will enable DSIs to be funded by measurements of impact and good practice and public good instead of relying on outside investment which can threaten DSIs' mission and interests.
