The national office should reorganize around a member service center concept instead of a headquarters or national office.
The national office provides more than just services to members. There is a publication business line that serves postsecondary institutions and researchers. Member service center may cause some people to not seek out the national office because they are not a member, even though they could be served.
Historically, people have had a less than positive view of the RID national office. The staff work very hard for a lot of members. The organization needs to offer a more friendly and welcoming approach to engaging members.
