The Newick Skate park has only had 25% of it sound proofed. This means that residents living near by can be disturbed by the noise. If the remaining 75% were also sound proofed this would ensure a more enjoyable environment for skaters and residents alike - submitted by A Lucas
Sound proofing skate ramps also reduces vibration caused by skaters making for a smoother and quieter ride. I believe there are a number of options including foam insulation.
