An important goal of the program will be to activate awareness, interest and support for CDR in Ireland, and a vision of Irish global leadership in this sector and climate action more broadly. In support of this objective, the programme would incorporate a robust social marketing campaign designed to engender public engagement and enthusiasm, drawing on design elements of other successful global innovation prizes, such as the Virgin Earth Challenge and the Carbon XPrize.

Points

An additional element of a public outreach strategy could include the development of a secondary education STEM curriculum or structured enrichment activity that aims to elevate youth participation and engagement in CDR related inquiry and related fields of study.
