Farmers are successfully fighting against the federal laws which still feebly protect the environment in order to be able to earn more money. Former minister Marina Silva left the govenrment because this (and all the previous) governments have a XX century idea of progress where growing economy is only what matters. Brazil needs to be able to manage its own natural resources for the future of its people and mankind, not half a dozen land owners.
