At the beginning of the 20th century The Gelly Loch was a popular recreational area where residents went during their free time to enjoy this much forgotten beauty spot. Reinstate the access steps and provide a picnic area so it can be again. George (Growing in Lochgelly)

The name of the town is derived from the Gelly Loch, it should be looked after and made easily accessible to residents, with scope to expand access and include other outdoor activities on & at the Loch at a later date.
